Studious was created by academic researchers working in the data visualization See Lab in the University of Tennessee’s Computer Science and Engineering Department. Our mission is to help Student Success departments to gain the insights needed to significantly improve student outcomes.
Ongoing Research into Student Outcomes
Studious was originally based on the research paper referenced above, but that isn’t where the research stops. Studious’s Chief Scientist Dr. Jian Huang and Head of Algorithms Dr. Tanner Hobson continue to drive research into big data visualizations using decades of student outcomes data.
